" HOW TO PREPARE A CONTENT FOR YOUR WEBSITE? "

here i will tell you how you can choose your content to your website.

To build a quality website, there are no shortcuts. planning is one of the most important thing you can do.initially, i started without a plan and then with the plan.the site with the plan always proven to be effective and saved my time in the long run from corrections.

gather your ideas together ,write them out and then stick to them.

so, you are ready to know tips , how to choose your content:

1.)First , know your audience: write and design with your visitors in mind.
don't get tempted to write for yourself.

2.)use a descriptive title:the text for the tag "TITLE" should be descriptive.a descriptive title makes clear what people can expect on your site. the title shows up in the results of search engines.

3.)Research:look at your favorite sites.sites you have most admired and enjoy reading.what is it makes them effective?what makes you want to return ? is it their content? the look?
use these sites as a basis ..something you can have in the back of your mind as inspiration to build your site.

4.)Don't make your visitors to think: when your visitor comes to your site,it's because they are looking to fill a need. they either need a information or a product.don't make them have to hunt for the info they need or how to get to the next page.

5.)Don't split topics: try to write one topic at one page.if your page gets too large,try to rewrite the text in two minor topics.

6.)Don't use too many colors: you have access to more than 10 million colors. Be selective. too many colours distract form what you are trying to say.

7.)keep your images small: your page should load in under 15 seconds or you stand the chance of losing your visitors before your page fully loads.

8.)Don't assume your visitors know what you are talking about: just because you know what "C.E.O" .it doesn't mean that they do. spell it out at least once at the beginning of your page.

9.)spell check or correct spelling: (something i forget to do many times..)
use correct English or whatever language your site is written in. as a standard routine use a spelling checker. don't forget human proof reading is also necessary.

10.)use a consistent look and feel: your site should stand as a whole. use the same look and feel for all pages at your site.this way your visitors have a sense of recognition when they visit various pages....

these are the main tips one has to keep in their mind while they are preparing content for your website.
